The new benefits for the Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite Account and Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite Account will take effect on April 25, 2026, and the name change will automatically be made to your Account on that same date. 

Continue using your current card without interruption. A replacement card with the updated name should be sent in the coming months. 

This update is a change to your credit card account name only and includes adding the enhanced Visa Infinite + benefit.

All references to the name of your card in your Scotia mobile app, online banking, monthly statements, disclosure statements or other documents will be updated.

There will be no other changes due to this update, including to existing benefits and features, annual fees, interest rates, other fees, and insurance coverages included with your card.

As your account number and credit card number(s) are not changing due to this name change, there should be no change to any recurring payments and pre-authorized payments you have set up on your current card(s).  

No, your credit card number is staying the same. 

Yes, if your Account is open and in good standing when we issue replacement cards, you should receive a replacement card with the updated name in the coming months (including for any supplementary cards). 

You may continue using your current credit card without interruption. Activation instructions will be provided in the package with your replacement card. Please ensure your mailing address with us is up to date.

Yes, if your card is due to expire soon, or if you report your card lost or stolen on or after April 25, 2026, you’ll receive a replacement card with the updated name.   

If your credit card number changes due to it being replaced as lost or stolen, you’ll need to update your card details with any merchants that you set up recurring payments with.  

No, there should be no impacts to any offers recently received for your Account. All eligible offers that you have received or accepted continue to be eligible and apply on your Account.

There will be no change to any promotional balance transfers or SelectPay plans that you already have on your account due to this name change.  

No, there are no impacts to the Scene+ Program that applies to your account, except that the name of your card will be changed in the Scene Program terms and conditions that apply (under the section in the Scene+ Program  “Additional Terms and Conditions that apply to Scotiabank Visa Cardmembers”) relating to your “Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite + Card”.  

No, there are no impacts to the Cash Back Program that applies to your account, except that the name of your card will be changed in those Cash Back Program terms to “Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite + Card."

The name of your card is changing, but how you use your card(s) in your mobile wallet stays the same. You can continue to store your eligible cards in one secure virtual place and use your mobile device to pay for everyday purchases with a simple tap.  You can still use your card(s) in your mobile wallet for purchases over $250, or once you reach a cumulative spend of $500, you will need to use your physical Scotiabank card.

There are no changes being made to the insurance included with your credit card account. Certificates of Insurance will be updated with the new name of the account.
