Things you should know

They are any apps or services that aren’t the official Scotiabank banking app that request permission to use your username and password to access your Scotiabank account.

When you grant access to third-party apps or services, you are giving them permission to access information from your Scotiabank account. This can include your profile, transaction history, and account and contact information. We will only share this information with your explicit consent.

Make sure your Scotiabank info is up-to-date before granting access to a third-party app or service.

To review or edit your profile info such as your address, go to Scotia OnLine > Manage My Accounts > Personal Profile. For other account info, please contact scotiabank directly.

You should only give access to apps or services you trust and use regularly. You can remove access anytime by signing in to Scotia OnLine and updating your settings.

Once you remove access, your account with the third-party app or service is still active. They will continue to have access to previously shared information but they will no longer be able to make any additional requests for access to your Scotiabank account.

If you want to completely delete your account with the third-party app or service, please visit their website or app and follow the instructions they provide.

You can always re-enable the app or service by granting it access to connect with your Scotiabank account again.
