Pre-Approved Credit Limit Increase Terms and Conditions

General

You, the borrower, are eligible for an increased credit limit on the credit card or line of credit account (the “Account) stated in the offer.

This offer can only be accepted until the date specified in the offer communication and only in the manner described therein. After this date, unless you have received the offer from us (Scotiabank) with a later expiry date in another communication, you will need to apply for a credit limit increase to your Account.

This offer is only available to the person to whom it is addressed and is not transferable, and this person must be a Canadian resident at the time of offer acceptance.

We reserve the right to withdraw or change this offer, even if you have already accepted it, and we may decline this increased credit limit if we become aware of any unfavourable information, any adverse change in your financial position or credit rating or any adverse change in your Account status with us since being selected for this offer. This offer will not be processed even after you accept it if the Account is not in good standing. If you have already accepted this offer, including through a different channel, your credit card limit will only be increased once to the amount in this offer.

Once you accept and consent to your credit limit increase, it may take up to 2 business days to apply the increased limit to your Account. You will see the new credit limit on your next statement after the credit limit increase has been processed to your Account.

You agree that we will share your personal information, including your name and date of birth, with credit reporting agencies to obtain a credit bureau report to assess this application. Further, you agree to the terms of the Scotiabank Privacy Agreement which is available at Scotiabank.com/privacy or at any Scotiabank branch.

You acknowledge that the French and English versions of the terms and conditions were provided to you. You expressly request and agree to be bound exclusively by the English version of these terms and conditions and that all related documents, including any notices, be drafted in English only.
