We have committed $500 million in community investment by 2030 to help people RISE

At Scotiabank, we believe that when people have the tools and opportunities to thrive, they can rise beyond challenges and shape a more resilient future.

Launched in 2021, ScotiaRISE is Scotiabank’s 10-year, $500 million community investment commitment. Its goal is to help create economic resilience by helping individuals and families access opportunities for economic growth, adapt to change, overcome barriers, and fully participate in the economy.

As ScotiaRISE evolves, we continue to refine our approach in response to shifting community needs and broader social, environmental, and economic conditions.

Beginning in 2026, ScotiaRISE will be guided by a refreshed strategic framework anchored in four pillars: Education, Employment, Community Needs & Cohesion and Resilient Economy.

Focus areas

ScotiaRISE will invest in four focus areas across the geographies where Scotiabank operates:

Education

Equipping disadvantaged youth with the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to thrive amid challenges.

Employment

Community Needs & Cohesion

Strengthening community resources to meet basic needs and to promote participation in social and economic life.
