Significantly more Canadians have used artificial intelligence for personal finances compared to just a year and a half ago, a new Scotiabank survey shows. Now, 37% of Canadians say they use the technology to manage their money, a significant jump from 13% in November 2024, the results show.

Despite high AI usage rates and enthusiasm for the growing capabilities of AI tools, many Canadians still see AI as complementary to human advice, rather than as a replacement, and some have concerns over privacy and accuracy.
