Ralph A. J. G. Hamers

Ralph Hamers is a corporate advisor and director and former Group CEO of UBS Group AG and Group CEO of ING Groep N.V. Mr. Hamers is an innovative leader with expertise in strategy development and digital transformation in the financial services sector. Prior to his CEO roles, Mr. Hamers spent 22 years at ING in various positions, including CEO of ING Belgium and Luxemburg, Head of Network Management for Retail Banking Direct & International, Global Head of Wholesale Banking Network, and CEO of ING Bank Netherlands.

Mr. Hamers is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banking Circle Group, a next-generation financial technology platform for global commerce. He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Your.World B.V., a European online solutions company. He is also the Secretary General of the Institut International d‘Études Bancaires.

Mr. Hamers is an advisor to several ventures in AI and digital technology, a mentor, and an author.

Mr. Hamers is a former board member of the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce and the Institute of International Finance, as well as a former member of the IMD Foundation Board, the McKinsey Advisory Council, and the World Economic Forum International Business Council. He is also a former Governor of the Financial Services/Banking Community of the World Economic Forum. Mr. Hamers holds a Master of Science in Business Econometrics/Operations Research from Tilburg University.
