Background and Experience
James is Director, Investment Policy & Research for 1832 Asset Management L.P.. James has worked in the investment industry since 1998 and joined 1832 Asset Management L.P. in 2009. He has responsibility for investment policy and research. He is a member of the Investment Strategy Committee and is involved with implementation of investment decisions for private client portfolios.
Prior to joining 1832 Asset Management L.P., James began his investment career as an investment consultant with a major global consulting firm. Subsequent to that, James has been involved in the areas of strategic and tactical asset allocation, investment policy, and managed several large wrap programs for other financial institutions.
James has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from McMaster University where he has also been a sessional lecturer. James also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
