David Cimon

David Cimon joined Scotiabank in October 2026 as a Senior Economist, focused on the financial industry. Prior to joining Scotiabank, David spent 7 years in various roles at the Bank of Canada, and 3 as an Assistant Professor of Finance at Wilfrid Laurier University. During his career, he has worked on a wide variety of topics related to financial markets and financial institutions. David holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Toronto.
