Impact: Global Capital Markets New Graduate Development Program

Overview
Impact is Scotiabank’s Global Capital Markets (GCM) Rotational Program, which is a 9-to-12-month program designed for students who are passionate about the capital markets space completing an undergraduate or graduate degree. You will rotate every 12 weeks on various product desks and develop both technical and analytical skills associated with the sales, trading, and risk management functions of day-to-day market activities.
During the program, you’ll assist the sales, trading, and structuring staff on the trading floor while also doing industry and product research. You’ll assist in preparing client presentations and daily market commentaries while performing analysis using fundamental and technical data. You’ll also be responsible for monitoring a variety of markets, economic releases, trends, and factors that affect the market.

You're enrolled in your final year of an undergraduate degree or MBA/relevant master’s degree (including STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math)

What to expect
At the start of the program, you will participate in Capital Ideas: a two-week orientation designed to introduce participants of Impact to our culture, people, products, and services. You will also meet your dedicated program manager who will provide ongoing mentorship, coaching, and development and who will ensure your successful transition in and out of rotations. You will be fully equipped to complete the program and launch your career as a dynamic leader.
Through the various rotations, you will gain exposure to our unique products and services and develop a solid understanding of credit and trade floor risk. Upon completion of your final rotation, with the support of the Global Senior Program Manager, you will be required to apply to and secure a position within Capital Markets prior to the completion of your final rotation.
