Technology builds the foundation that enables Scotiabank to deliver world-class digital experiences to our customers and employees. You may be working on backend technologies, but you won’t be backstage.
Global Technology and Enterprise Platforms
Our global teams work together to improve how customers and employees experience technology every day. We build effective and stable infrastructure technology solutions to support the systems and services that our customers and employees rely on. We manage the bank’s public and private cloud, ABMs, global network, service desk and employee technologies, and provide IT services to our internal global departments. We are a large, global, multilingual team with a strong presence in Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and Peru.
Global Technology Applications
Global Technology Applications is the engineering team that provides technology management, services and support to Scotiabank’s Global Banking and Markets business, along with the Bank's Finance and Treasury, and Global Risk Management divisions, including Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crimes Risk Management.
Information Security and Control
We design, implement, and manage security solutions to protect the bank and our customers. We are committed to enhancing the bank’s cybersecurity capabilities, accelerating programs that help mitigate rising external threats, and consistently improving Cyber protection across the bank. Our global team works with the latest security tools to solve complex, real-world problems that have a global impact, and are constantly evolving to effectively manage security challenges using leading-edge, best-in-class technology to protect the bank’s systems and our customers from cyber threats and attacks.
Chief Technology Officer
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Organization is responsible for the end-to-end ideation, production, and delivery of all customer-facing and customer-enabling technology stacks. Our team focuses on advancing the Bank’s technology modernization priorities and works closely with business lines across Scotiabank to execute on the digital strategy. With team members throughout the Americas, the CTO Organization aspires to re-imagine and simplify the way our customers use technology to enable the future of banking.
