Statement Centre
Everything you need to know about bank statements and how to read them.
All of our personal lines of credit issue statements.
Statements for personal line of credit accounts are typically issued once a month, depending upon your account activity and if you have made a payment or have an outstanding balance on your account.
If you have a Scotia Plan Loan (SPL) or an auto finance loan, you don’t receive statements, but you can expect:
- An annual disclosure statement for variable rate loans
- Renewal notifications
- Mid-term amendment changes
- A lien release letter – confirming your loan has been fully paid and that we no longer have an interest in the collateral – sent by email within 7–10 business days after your final payment
For your current loan balance, you can view your account when you sign in to Scotia online banking or the app.
If you require a lien release letter, please ensure your email address is up to date in your Scotiabank profile. The letter will be sent to your email automatically.
If you haven’t received your lien release letter after 10 business days, or if you’d like to request a payout, please contact us at 1-888-777-6842.
