- Immediate family members and dependents: Don’t forget that your mental health benefit is per eligible dependent, so this can also be used for your spouse and dependents if they are covered under the Canadian Benefits Plan, and eligible dependents also have access to our Employee Family Assistance Program (EFAP). You can also support your immediate family by applying funds from your Wellbeing Account towards childcare, back-up daycare, tutoring, and much more.
- Extended family members: You can use your Wellbeing Account to pay for eligible expenses for loved ones who are financially dependent on you. Eligible expenses include mental health services and adult care – e.g., retirement home, meal delivery, and home nursing.
The ability for employees to tailor their benefits to meet their unique needs underscores Scotiabank’s unwavering commitment to supporting employees at work and at home. By offering this flexibility, we empower employees to take control of their wellbeing and professional growth, fostering a work environment that values individual priorities and encourages personal growth.
