Add a contact for Interac e-Transfer

Overview

Need to share an expense or pay someone back? Interac e-Transfer is a fast and easy way to send, request, and receive money from friends and family. You can send an Interac e-Transfer to anyone who has a Canadian bank account and an email address.

In order to send money internationally, you will first need to add a contact. The contact you add will be recipient of the money you send. You can add a contact using your computer, smartphone, or tablet.

To add a contact for Interac e-Transfers:

  1. From the app’s Home screen, tap Transfers
  2. Tap Manage transfers
  3. Tap Manage contacts then Add a new contact
  4. Select Interac e-Transfer and enter the required contact information
