How to add a contact for Interac e-Transfer

Start sending money—add your contact in seconds.

Looking to split an expense or repay someone? Interac e-Transfer offers a quick and convenient way to send, request, and receive money from friends and family.

To send money, start by adding a contact. This contact will be the recipient of your transfer. You can add contacts using your computer, smartphone, or tablet.

Tips: 

  • We may ask for your Scotia Card PIN or send you a One Time Passcode as a safety measure to confirm it is you adding the new contact! 
  • If your contact hasn’t set up Interac e-Transfer Autodeposit, you may be prompted to choose a security question and provide a unique answer to complete the transfer.
