Unconscious bias can be a barrier for women-led businesses and is defined as “Social stereotypes about certain groups of people that individuals form, outside their own conscious awareness".
Our symbol takes the female gender sign and evolves it to represent our goal of equality. Our hope is that it raises awareness for unconscious bias and becomes a symbol that real change is happening for women in business.
Access to Capital
Scotiabank is committed to equal access to our full suite of financing solutions. As a business owner, you should have access to a financial partner who can help support your growth. We can propose creative financing solutions tailored to your priorities, including working capital and inventory financing, funding for capital projects, expansions, mergers and acquisitions and much more.
The Advisory Board is here to help women grow their business through facilitated small group mentorship sessions on pre-identified topics and complex business problems. Clients have the opportunity to interact with senior leaders as well as other women in business. Participants will have the opportunity to benefit from strengthened relationships and ongoing communications between each other and with Scotiabank executives.
Un-Mentorship Boot Camps
Workshops that un-teach traditionally held ideas about how to succeed; explore business-focused issues like governance, compliance and finance with Scotiabank executives and other experts; share the insights from our proprietary and sponsored research; and hear from other women and advisory board members who have been successful in their fields.
