Up-close and personal with the 2017 Scotiabank Giller Prize finalists

The five finalists for Canada’s top fiction prize sat down to share personal and professional insights as they launched Between the Pages, a national series of reading events leading up to the Scotiabank Giller Prize Gala and live broadcast on November 20.

Rachel Cusk (Transit), Ed O’Loughlin (Minds of Winter) Michael Redhill (Bellevue Square), Eden Robinson (Son of a Trickster) and Michelle Winters (I Am a Truck) are nominated for Canada’s richest literary prize.

Here they talk about their favourite cities, what literary character they would most like to dine with, and what advice they would give their teenaged selves.

The 2017 Scotiabank Giller Prize, hosted by Mary Walsh, will air live on CBC on Monday, November 20 at 8 p.m. EST. and will be livestreamed at CBCBooks.ca.
