Add Your Scotiabank Card

For a compatible iPhone:

  1. Open the Wallet App
  2. Tap the plus sign in the upper right corner
  3. Enter your card’s security code to add a Scotiabank card from your iTunes account. Or, select “Add a different card” and use your camera or enter the card information manually.

For Apple Watch:

  1. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone
  2. Tap “Wallet & Apple Pay” and select “Add a credit or debit card”
  3. Enter your card’s security code to add your Scotiabank card from your iTunes account. Or, select “Add a different card” and use your camera or enter the card information manually.

  • Apple Pay is a new and innovative way to make contactless purchases using your eligible Apple device. You can use an eligible retail Scotiabank payment card with Apple Pay to pay for goods and services at merchants that accept contactless payments.
  • In addition, Apple Pay also allows you to make in-app purchases on your eligible iPhone or iPad wherever the “Apple Pay” icon is located at the online checkout page.
What do I need to use Apple Pay?
  • Apple Pay is available to any Scotiabank customer in Canada with an eligible Scotiabank Interac debit card, or Scotiabank Visa or Amex Credit Card with a compatible iOS-enabled Apple device running the latest version of iOS
  • Here is what is required to use Apple Pay:

How do I select my Scotiabank payment card as my default card in Apple Pay?
  • The first card that you choose to add to Apple Pay will automatically become your default payment card. To edit your selected default card:
    • iPhone or iPad
      • Open Settings
      • Tap “Wallet & Apple Pay”, tap “Default Card” and choose the Scotiabank payment card you would like to select as your default card
    • Apple Watch
      • Open the Watch app
      • Tap “Default Card” and choose the Scotiabank payment card you would like to select as default

How many cards (debit and/or credit) can I add to each device?
  • Apple Pay currently allows a user to setup a maximum of eight payment cards on any one eligible device
How do I delete or suspend my card for use in Apple Pay?
  • If you believe your Scotiabank payment card information used for Apple Pay has been stolen or compromised in anyway please call us immediately at 1-800-472-6842
  • On your iPhone or iPad you can use the “Find my iPhone” app to temporarily suspend or permanently delete your card from Apple Pay. Alternatively, you can remove your payment card from Apple Pay by selecting Settings/Wallet & Apple Pay/Select Card/Remove Card
  • In addition, please visit www.icloud.com/settings and follow the prompts to suspend or delete your stolen or compromised cards
What fraud protection features does Apple Pay provide?
  • Your Scotiabank payment card transactions through Apple Pay are protected from fraudulent activity and unauthorized transactions by Visa Zero Liability Policy, Interac Zero Liability Policy and American Express Fraud Protection Guarantee
  • Scotiabank payment card information is never shared with Apple or the merchant
