This is a supplement that the Government of Canada contributes to an RDSP. The size of the CDSG is based on family income and contribution amount. The maximum grant is $3,500 each year, with a total lifetime CDSG maximum of $70,000. Grants are paid into the RDSP until December 31st of the year the beneficiary turns 49 years of age.
The Canada Disability Savings Grant (CDSG) is a limited matching grant paid into a Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP) by the Government of Canada.
Depending on the beneficiary's family net income and contribution level, the Government may contribute funds equivalent to 300%, 200% or 100% of contributions made into an RDSP in a year.
An RDSP may receive up to a maximum of $3,500 annually in Grants.
The maximum lifetime Grant that may be paid on behalf of a beneficiary shall not exceed $70,000.
The CDSG may be paid on contributions made into an RDSP up until December 31st of the year in which the beneficiary turns 49 years of age.More details about our Cheque Services

The Government of Canada may contribute up to $1,000 each year, depending on the beneficiary's family income. The lifetime CDSB limit is $20,000 and can be paid into an RDSP until the year in which the beneficiary turns 49 years old.
The Canada Disability Savings Bond (CDSB) is designed to assist low-income families to save for the long-term financial security of an eligible person with a disability.
There are no RDSP contribution requirements in order to receive the Bond.
You may apply for the CDSB by contacting the Wealth Management Contact Centre at 1-877-929-4499. If you qualify for a bond payment, it will be deposited annually by January 31st. Any CDSB received by Scotiabank will be paid into the "cash portion" of the Scotia RDSP Investment Account.More details about our Cheque Services
