ELIGIBILITY

This contest is open to legal residents of Trinidad and Tobago, 18 years of age or older, with the exception of employees of Scotiabank Trinidad and Tobago Limited, and its respective parent companies, subsidiaries and/or those living in the same household of each and their immediate families (spouses, parents, children and siblings and their respective spouses), its advertising agency, Messrs KPMG (“KPMG”) and/or those living in the same household of each. This contest runs from July 15th to October 31st, 2007.

For new Scotiabank MAGNA MasterCard credit cards: You will receive one (1) entry automatically for the first purchase made using your Scotiabank MAGNA MasterCard credit card, provided your account is a new account opened between July 15th and October 31st, 2007 and your first purchase is posted to your account on or before October 31st, 2007. You will receive one (1) entry automatically for every subsequent purchase using your Scotiabank MAGNA MasterCard credit card that is posted to your account between July 15th and October 31st, 2007. For existing Scotiabank MAGNA MasterCard credit cards: You will receive one (1) entry automatically for every purchase posted to your Scotiabank MAGNA MasterCard account between July 15th and October 31st, 2007. Entries from unauthorized card use or made with lost, stolen or fraudulent Scotiabank MAGNA MasterCard credit cards are void. Your use of your Scotiabank MAGNA MasterCard account to make a purchase constitutes your consent to participate in this contest and your consent for Scotiabank to obtain your name, address and other information for the purpose of administering this contest and for other uses as permitted by applicable law. Scotiabank reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to void any and all entries of an entrant whom Scotiabank believes has attempted to tamper with or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this contest.

Only purchases posted to Scotiabank MAGNA MasterCard credit card accounts between July 15th and October 31st, 2007 will be entered into the draw. There is no minimum purchase, and each purchase on qualifying cards during the promotion period will represent a chance to win. Cash advances, interest charges, service charges or annual membership fees do not qualify as a purchase transaction. Transactions must be processed by Scotiabank to qualify. Transactions must be posted to the Scotiabank MAGNA MasterCard credit card account by October 31st, 2007. Transactions posted to the Scotiabank MAGNA MasterCard credit card account after October 31st, 2007 do not qualify.

Grand Prize – $60,000 worth of MAGNA™ Rewards points.

Secondary and Tertiary Prizes
Secondary Prize – $30,000 worth of MAGNA Rewards points.
Tertiary Prize – $15,000 worth of MAGNA Rewards points.
Interim Prize – $15,000 worth of MAGNA Rewards points.

All prizes subject to change at the sole discretion of Scotiabank and must be accepted as awarded. No substitutions are available. Prizes may differ from those featured in promotional material and advertising. Prizes cannot be substituted for any cash value. Winners will be notified by telephone, and will be required to provide proof of their age and to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility/Prize Acceptance and Release within five (5) days of notification to be confirmed as a winner. If the winner cannot be contacted by telephone within five (5) days at a number on Scotiabank’s records, Scotiabank has the option to draw another name. The Winner’s name will be published in the media. Winners must agree to the use of their name and photograph without compensation in any forthcoming publicity by Scotiabank. Winner will be responsible for any taxes, insurance and expenses not explicitly stated as part of their prize. This contest is approved by the National Lotteries Control Board. The draw will be conducted by automated, random selection on September 14, 2007 (Interim Prize Draw) and November 12, 2007 (Grand, Secondary and Tertiary Prize draws). The draws will be conducted in the presence of KPMG, an independent company. Winner will be contacted by telephone and their name announced in the newspapers after the contest.
