Scotiabank has been tested, and currently functions with the required browsers listed below. When accessing Scotiabank, you are required to use one of these browsers. Browsers that are not listed should not be used, as they do not meet Scotiabank's high standards for information privacy and security. PC Users

Our newly supported browser version for download s Internet Explorer 6.0 with 128-bit encryption.
Netscape 6.0 is not supported by Scotiabank and should not be downloaded. Instead, please download Netscape 6.1 with 128-bit encryption.

 

Macintosh Users

Scotiabank supports Macintosh operating systems

only with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) browser versions:

If you are using Mac OS X, you can download Internet Explorer 5.2.2 with 128-bit encryption.

If you are using Mac OS 8.1 to 9.x, you can download Internet Explorer 5.1.6 with 128-bit encryption.

Netscape 6.0 is not supported

 

Things to Know Before Downloading or Upgrading

A browser download could take up to 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on the speed (baud rate) of your modem and the general level of Internet traffic at the time. It is recommended that you perform the download when you expect to not use your telephone line for a period of time
