Scotia Support

Scotiabank is here to help our customers navigate this uncertain time. We have announced additional measures to reduce and delay the transmission of COVID-19 and to provide financial relief to those who need it most.

Scotiabank is here for you.

As every situation is different, we are committed to trying to work with all our customers on a case-by-case basis to help understand, and hopefully alleviate, financial hardships you may be experiencing as a result of COVID-19. Our support measures are flexible, including payment deferrals for mortgages and relief on credit products for those who qualify. Please contact us (or your Advisor or Relationship Manager) and we will work together to find a solution that will hopefully meet your unique needs.

Right now the industry is dealing with an unprecedented volume of calls and longer than usual response times. Rest assured that we are committed to providing you with the best service we can as we assist all our customers. If you have an urgent need (for instance, you have a payment due within the next 48 hours), please call us right away. Otherwise, we ask you to please give us a few days before reaching out so we can help our customers with the most immediate needs first.

We’re taking important steps to help you stay protected.

We continue to monitor the situation closely, and are following the latest guidance from local, provincial, and federal health authorities, including the Public Health Agency of Canada, to ensure that our practices are in line with the latest recommendations. We want to continue to provide you with service in a safe environment and as such we will be slightly reducing branch hours.

Changes to branch hours

Scotiabank will be reducing branch hours to support industry-wide social distancing efforts. Effective Wednesday, March 18, 2020, branches will operate under new reduced hours.

Monday to Friday

9:30am to 3:00pm or 10:00 am to 3:00pm for those branches that regularly open at 10:00am.

Saturday

10:00am to 3:00pm.

Note: Branches located within malls will continue to align with mall opening hours and will also close at 3:00pm.

Enhanced cleaning measures

We are continuing to conduct frequent and deep cleaning of our branches every business day, including sanitizing all surfaces (door handles, ABM keypads and screens, pin pads, chair handles, desks, reception areas, teller wickets and washrooms), and ensuring hand sanitizer and wipes are available in-branch for use by employees and customers.

We are here and available.
