FAQs about expansion of CEBA eligibility criteria
On May 19, Prime Minister Trudeau announced changes to the Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA) eligibility requirements. This expansion will increase customer eligibility for many businesses who do not meet the current payroll requirement provided they have filed income taxes in 2018 or 2019. The new application process will include additional criteria to capture non-deferrable expenses for businesses to determine their eligibility. Once finalized with the government and other financial institutions, full details and expanded qualification criteria will be provided to you online.
