Bold, thoughtful and unique. Each of the artists for this year’s Scotiabank Photography Award represents the very best in Canadian contemporary photography.

One of these gifted, established artists will win the 9th annual Scotiabank Photography Award, a peer-nominated and peer-reviewed honour.

The winner will receive a $50,000 cash prize, a solo Primary Exhibition during the 2020 Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival, and a book of their work published and distributed worldwide by publisher Steidl.

The shortlist will be announced on March 21 and the winner will be revealed on May 7.
