PRIVACY NOTICE RELATED TO THE HANDLING OF PERSONAL DATA OF PROSPECTS AND CANDIDATES FOR EMPLOYMENT OF ENTITIES AND COMPANIES OF GRUPO FINANCIERO SCOTIABANK INVERKAT [sic](GFSBI)

In accordance with the Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de Particulares [Federal Law on the protection of personal data held by private individuals], we are hereby notifying you how we will be processing your personal data, which you have provided us with or will provide us with corresponding to identification, academic, employment and migration data, related to the position selection and recruitment process.

This document certifies that your data is delivered to GFSBI, which through the área de Reclutamiento y Selección [Recruitment and Selection Area] assumes responsibility for saving and safekeeping such information. The purpose of this Privacy Notice is to protect the personal data of the candidates who participate in the GFSBI selection and recruitment process, by processing such information in a legitimate, controlled and informed manner, to guarantee its privacy, as well as the right to informational self-determination. In this respect, GFSBI has developed and maintains policies, procedures and controls for information security and confidentiality.

GFSBI will preserve your information until the selection and recruitment process for the position to which you have applied has concluded. Said process consists of: initial interview, application of examinations and psychometrics, competencies interview, work history investigation and interviews with lines of business.

If you are hired, your documents and information will make up the personal file that will be submitted for safekeeping to the GFSBI Company that does the hiring. As a result of this transfer, the information and documentation, are held in safekeeping by the Dirección de Relaciones con el Personal [Office of the Director for Staff Relations], which has its own guidelines for protection of personal data. GFSBI only receives, records and preserves the incumbent’s Personal Data and Personal Data provided and declared regarding third parties such as: children, spouse, siblings, parents, partner and economic dependents, in letters of recommendation or work history provided, for the purpose of complying with work-related obligations, for analysis and preparation of internal statistics.

GFSBI may keep you information even if you have not won the competition for the position, in order to include you in other similar recruitment and selection processes within the companies that make up the GFSBI, or of other entities of the financial sector with which it has agreements to share this type of information.

GFSBI may transfer your Personal Data to authorities at all levels (Federal, State, Municipal), public and private bodies, as long as it is requested for law enforcement purposes or under the authority of the law, to various companies and/or individuals, in Mexico or abroad, as well as to our parent company The Bank of Nova Scotia and its affiliates or subsidiaries, for the purpose of certifying your studies and competencies, work experience, for social and labour investigation purposes, to participate in staff selection processes and apply to the various vacant positions published in the GFSBI Bolsa de Empleo [Job Bank] or through any other means available for such purposes.

GFSBI may preserve your personal data in databases located at its current or any other future domicile, both in Mexico and abroad.

The period of time for handling your Personal Data will be as set forth by the current regulatory provisions, and you may oppose the handling of same at any time you deem appropriate, within the limitations of the law; if your opposition request is valid, GFSBI will stop handling your Personal Data without any liability being incurred by us. Therefore, in accordance with the Law, you may at any time exercise your rights for access, rectification, cancellation of and opposition to the processing of your personal data (ARCO), the last two cases being applicable only when so established by the regulations in effect. The request must be submitted to the Office of the Director for Staff relations of GFSBI, together with the applicant’s ID. Upon receipt of the request, the procedures established for enabling the applicant to exercise their ARCO rights will be applied and, within 20 business days from the date on which receipt of your request is acknowledged, the respective answer will be issued.

Finally, any change or update by GFSBI to this notice will be communicated to you via the website www.scotibank.com.mx, in the section “Trabaja con Nosotros” [Work with Us], as established in the current regulatory provisions.

As owner of the personal data referred to in this Privacy Notice, you sign in acknowledgement of receipt and in agreement with its content, also voluntarily expressing your acceptance with respect to the processing of your personal data.
