Barb is the Strategic Advisor for the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) role until December 31 where, after a remarkable 41-year career at the Bank, she will retire at the end of the year.
Previously, Barb held the positions of Group Head and CHRO, with global responsibility for Marketing, and Real Estate; Executive Vice President, Global Wealth Management; Executive Vice President, Wealth Management, Canada; and Executive Vice President, Marketing, Sales & Service.
She joined the Bank in 1982 and has held progressively senior positions in retail banking, credit cards, marketing, sales and service, wealth management and human resources.
Barb graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honours degree in Environmental Studies and was recognized as the 2012 Alumni of the Year. She is also a graduate of the Queen’s University Executive Program. In 2010 she was inducted into Canada’s Most Powerful Women – Top 100 Hall of Fame by the Women’s Executive Network. She sits on the board of Bayview Glen School, and the Humber River Hospital in Toronto, as well as a variety of the Bank’s internal subsidiary boards.
Barb is married and has two sons.
