Scotiabank Sponsors 24th Annual Red Ribbon Ball

NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS, November 1, 2017 – Scotiabank is proud to announce its platinum sponsorship of the Red Ribbon Ball to benefit The Bahamas AIDS Foundation, again this year.

“The Red Ribbon Ball is one of a few HIV-related initiatives we look forward to supporting each year,” said Nakera Symonette, Senior Manager of Marketing and Public Relations. “Scotiabank has been a proud partner of The Bahamas AIDS Foundation for almost two decades and the presenting partner of Regional HIV Testing Day, since 2008.”

According to event organizers, the Foundation has seen much success in its fight against HIV and AIDS. However there is still much work to be done which requires funding; all proceeds from the Ball are used to support the Foundation’s programmes and activities.

“At Scotiabank, we aim to support organizations that are committed to helping young people reach their full potential,” said Maxine Seymour, Manager, Sponsorships & Philanthropy, Scotiabank. “The Foundation prioritizes Adolescents Infected with and Affected by HIV and AIDS by operating an after-school tutoring programme among other outreach initiatives.”

The 24th Annual Red Ribbon Ball, themed ‘Lights, Camera … Action’, takes place this Saturday, November 4 at the Atlantis Resort, Paradise Island.
