charges and interest charges are not considered eligible purchases. Account
credit/adjustment transactions and PIN-based transactions are not eligible for entry.
ELIGIBILITY
The contest is open to all legal residents of Barbados, 18 years of age or older,
with the exception of employees of Scotiabank (hereinafter referred to as “The
Bank”) and its respective parent companies, subsidiaries and/or those living in the
same household of each and their immediate families (spouses, parents, children
and siblings and their respective spouses), its advertising agency, and/or those
living in the same household of each. There will be two monthly draws running
from: March 1, 2007 to March 31, 2007 (first contest month) and April 1, 2007 to
April 30, 2007 (second contest month).
HOW TO ENTER
Scotiabank Credit Card Cardholders will automatically receive one (1) entry for
every $1.00 spent on purchases or low rate convenience cheques, in the months of
March and April 2007. Entries are based on posted dates. For example, if you spend
$400 on purchases and $300 on low rate conveniences cheques between March 1
to March 31, you will receive 700 entries to win the prizes in category 1.
Prize eligibility is based on your total monthly purchases and convenience cheques
as per chart below:

There will be 16 prizes drawn and awarded per month. The prizes are determined
by the amount of your monthly purchases and low rate convenience cheques
with your credit card.
The draws will be held on the 20th day of the month following the contest
month. For example: March winners will be based on March monthly retail
purchases and low rate convenience cheques posted and winners will be drawn
on April 20, 2007 (First Contest: April 20, 2007 and Second contest: May 21,
2007). You can only win one prize per draw. Scotiabank will not be responsible
for changes to the prizes that occur outside of its control and by accepting the
prizes; Scotiabank will not be responsible for any liability regarding the products.
The warranty will be responsibility of the supplier directly.
All prizes subject to change at the sole discretion of Scotiabank and must be
accepted as awarded. No substitutions are available. Winners will be notified by
telephone, and will be required to provide proof of their age and to sign an Affidavit
of Eligibility/Prize Acceptance and Release within five (5) days of notification to be
confirmed as a winner. If the winner cannot be contacted by telephone within five (5)
days at a number on Scotiabank’s records, Scotiabank has the option to draw another
name. The winner’s name will be published in the media. Winners must agree to the
use of their name and photograph without compensation in any forthcoming
publicity by Scotiabank. Winner will be responsible for any taxes, insurance and
expenses not explicitly stated as part of their prize. The draw will be conducted by
automated, random selection on the dates stated in the contest description
