Definitions
- Name of the Promotion: "Q2 - Easy way to bank and win" ( "Promotion")
- Promotional Period: means from 1 February to 30 April 2016 ending at midnight on 30 April, 2016.
- Non-Branch Channels: refers to ATM, ScotiaOnline Banking, ScotiaMobile Banking, and TeleScotia, Point of Sale
- Eligible Transaction: refers only to transactions completed via the non-branch channels, and are limited to bill payments, deposits, point of sale withdrawals, and money transfers (between Scotiabank accounts and products and/or to third party accounts/products)
Mechanics and Rules of the Promotion:
This Promotion is open to legal residents of Barbados who are 16 years of age or older. Employees of Scotiabank (hereinafter referred to as "the Bank") and/or those living in the same household of each and their immediate families (spouses, parents, children and siblings and their respective spouses), its Advertising Agency and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible to participate in this promotion.
Scotiabank has the right to exclude any individual from this campaign in its absolute discretion without any obligation to provide notice or reason.
Promotion
Customers who sign up for and use the Non Branch Channels (ATM, Online, Mobile, TeleScotia,POS) during the promotional period will be considered eligible for this campaign. Customers can qualify as either a new or existing non-branch channel user, but not both.
To qualify for the monthly draw, during the promotional period, the Customer must have completed eligible transactions within the particular month in which the eligible transactions were done.
Monthly prizes will be awarded each month during the promotional period: -
1. One prize for new non branch channel users
2. One prize for existing non branch channel users
NEW NON BRANCH CHANNEL USERS:
Customers who have not used any non-branch channel prior to the promotional period can qualify as a new non-branch channel user. All new non-branch channel customers will be required to register for AND complete at least one eligible transaction per month using any of the non-branch channels in order to qualify for the respective month's draw.
EXISTING NON BRANCH CHANNEL USERS:
Customers who have used any non-branch channels prior to the promotional period can qualify as an existing non-branch channel user. In order to be eligible for the Promotion, all existing non-branch channel customers must complete, within the promotional period, at least 2 transactions per month more than they completed in the previous month through any electronic channel. For example, a customer who has completed a combined total of 6 eligible transactions on ATM/POS and Online between January 1 2016 and January 31 2016 must complete 8 eligible transactions in the succeeding month via ATM/POS, ScotiaOnline Banking, ScotiaMobile and/or TeleScotia.
Transactions must be completed in their respective months in order to be considered eligible. For example, a new non-branch customer who completes 0 eligible transactions in February and March, but 4 eligible transactions in April will only be entered into the campaign draws for the April new non-branch customer prize. Similarly, an existing non-branch customer who completed 4 eligible transactions in the month of January 2016, and who completes 7 eligible transactions in February 2016, 5 eligible transactions in March 2016, and 3 eligible transactions in April 2016 will only be entered into the campaign draw for the February existing non-branch customer prize.
Disqualification:
Any customer who completes more than one teller transaction in each month of the promotional period will be disqualified from this initiative, regardless of whether they met the above criteria. This number is not cumulative; completing 2 branch transactions in any promotional period month will disqualify the customer, even if 0 branch transactions were completed in the other two promotional months.
The terms and conditions can vary at any time, at Scotiabank's discretion without giving any notice or reason. In the event of a dispute arising from this campaign, the Bank's decision is final.

Prizes:
New Non Branch Channel Prize
1. One prize per month for each of three months: A prize of one (1) Tablet and $1,000 cash prize per month for the person who signs up for a NEW Non Branch Channel and performs one eligible transaction.
Existing Non Branch Channel Prize
One prize per month for each of three months: A prize of one (1) Tablet and $1,000 cash prize per month for Existing Non Branch Channel Users who increase their usage by two transactions in the respective month.
Draw will be held within the week of 1 June 2016.
The winners will be notified by telephone within seven (7) days from the date of the draws. To be confirmed as a winner, the customer will be required to provide formal legal identification.
The winners will be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility/Prize Acceptance and Release. Completion and signing of the Affidavit must be done within seven (7) days of the official notification from the Bank, in order to confirm the winner.
If the winner(s) cannot be contacted by telephone after 5 attempts within five (5) days at a contact number on the Bank's customer operating document held at the bank records, the Bank has the option to draw another name. The winners' names will be published in the media. The winners must agree to the use of his or her names and photographs without compensation in any forthcoming publicity by Scotiabank. The winners will also be responsible for any taxes, insurance and expenses not explicitly stated as part of their prize.
The winner will forfeit prizes not collected within one (1) week after the winner has been duly notified, without any subsequent compensation to them.
Once winners are identified and confirmed, they will be announced publicly in the media. Prizes will be provided to customers within 4 weeks of the draw date. Tablets will be provided to the winner at their local branch at the time of recognition. Credits will be applied to the customers primary bank account.
Winners will be deemed ineligible if any of their account/s and /or loan facilities are not up to date, including Mortgages, credit cards and Scotia Line. The prizes are not transferable and are subject to change at the sole discretion of Scotiabank. The prizes must be accepted as awarded.
Customers agree to be bound by the Bank's operating processes and procedures, account operating terms and conditions and confidentiality requirements.
