Telephone Banking

Telephone banking gives you the freedom to bank 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from any touch-tone phone in the country. If you have a ScotiaCard with at least one Scotiabank account linked to it, you can access telephone banking by calling
62-SCOTIA (627-2684). Please use '868' before the number if you are calling from overseas – long distance charges will apply.

Features:

  • Pay bills
  • Transfer funds between accounts of similar currency
  • Enquire about deposit account balances
  • View credit card and line of credit balance and payment information
  • Check daily foreign exchange rates
  • Obtain a list of the last 10 transactions on your savings or chequing account

Benefits:

  • Control – telephone banking is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so you choose your banking hours
  • Record keeping – Upon successful completion of a bill payment or transfer of funds transaction, you will be given a transaction reference number by the system for your records
  • Assistance – Our representatives are available to help with telephone banking Mondays to Fridays from 7:30 am to 6p.m.

Security

Scotiabank is committed to keeping your personal information confidential and secure when you use telephone banking:

  • Only you can obtain your account information once we confirm both your ScotiaCard number and self-selected Access Code. As an added security feature, you can change your Access Code at any time to further protect your account information
  • Know that Scotiabank will never unexpectedly phone or e-mail you asking for your Access Code, Personal Identification Number (PIN), credit card or account numbers, or other such information
  • Do not divulge your telephone banking Access Code to anyone and report any suspicious requests to Scotiabank immediately at 627-2684 or 625- PLUS (please dial 868 before the number if you are calling from overseas)
