Eligibility

US$50 Welcome bonus offer open to legal residents of the Cayman Islands who are 18 years and older.

To qualify for the Welcome bonus offer, all applications must be submitted and approved by June 30, 2008. Offer may be changed, withdrawn or extended at anytime.

Existing Scotiabank credit cardholders are not eligible for this offer. Former Scotiabank credit cardholders who have cancelled their cards within the last 12 months will not be eligible for this offer when they re apply for a Scotiabank credit card during the offer period. (Non-eligibility is considered for the 12-month duration following the last date of credit card account cancellation.)

Any cancellation of existing application and re-submission of application made for the purpose of participation in this offer will be automatically disqualified.

Employees from the Bank, its subsidiaries and affiliated agencies will not be eligible for the offer. In addition, the Bank has the right to exclude anyone from this offer in its absolute discretion without any obligation to provide notice or reason.

Cardholders who participate in this promotion will have to maintain their Scotiabank credit card for a minimum period of 12 months from card account open date. The Bank reserves the right in its absolute discretion to vary the terms and conditions or this promotion or change or withdraw this promotion at any time without giving any reason. In case of dispute, the Bank’s decision is final.

US$50 Welcome bonus offer is awarded when the account is opened. The introductory US$50 Welcome bonus offer may be changed or withdrawn at any time without notice. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

The credit will appear as “Welcome bonus” on the Scotiabank credit card account and may take up to 8 weeks to appear on the cardholder’s statement.

The US$50 Welcome bonus offer will be awarded to the Primary Cardholder only. The US$50 Welcome bonus offer is only rewarded once per customer within a 36-month period.

The credit must be used within 3 months of receiving the credit or it will be removed from the account.

The 3,000 AAdvantage® bonus miles will be awarded to the Primary Cardholder only and may take up to 8 weeks to appear on your AAdvantage® statement.

Annual fees are waived for the first year only.

The Welcome bonus offer is not considered a payment and does not relieve the cardholder of the obligation to make a payment if there is any remaining balance on the credit card account.
