Words of Appreciation

It is with sincerity that I write this letter with thanks for your cheque to assist me with my CXC examination fees. You have encouraged me to work hard. As a proud student of Meadowbrook High School, I did my best for my school and showed my appreciation for your grant by passing all my examinations. I thank you sincerely and hope that Scotiabank continues to grant and motivate students.

Nicole Patterson (Achieved 8 passes including 7 distinctions)

This letter is to express my sincere gratitude for the faith, encouragement and money the Scotiabank Jamaica Foundation invested in my daughters' education. Like the light at the end of the tunnel, you , by your generosity and vision , have inspired hope and confidence and we have pledged to make you proud. Only time will tell the difference you have made in our lives and the lives of countless others by providing help and opportunities in difficult times.

Violet Edwards

I am overwhelmed to find that the Scotiabank Jamaica Foundation is pleased to share in my success at the completion on the Associate of Science Degree in General Agriculture at the College of Agriculture, Science and Education. I am also extremely proud to be a Scotiabank Jamaica Foundation Scholar.

Heavon Brown

The School Board, Principal, Staff, Students and Parents of Holy Family Primary and Infant School, are appreciative to Scotiabank Jamaica Foundation for their continued association and contribution to the institution's Breakfast Programme. It can be stated without any fear of contradiction, that the Programme has been a significant contributor to the improvement in the nutritional status of our children. A direct consequence of this is the significant improvement shown in their overall attendance and academic performance. This has been markedly so far the just concluded academic year.

Robert Gregory (Chairman)

My five years at Hampton School for Girls have been a truly wonderful and valued experience. Without a doubt I can say that I would have been unable to have such a full and free experience had it not been for the benevolence of your noble institution. The Scotiabank Jamaica Foundation has given me and so many other promising children a real chance to excel. My gratitude for this show of kindness is somewhat ineffable, but I shall contain it in a few paragraphs.

I am eternally grateful to all those who are a part of the Scotiabank Jamaica Foundation. I am grateful for the extensive opportunity that was given to me. I am grateful for the fact that my parents never had to agonize over anything regarding school finances. I am grateful for the fact that there still people in this little country who are cognizant of the significance of caring and sharing.

Rana Smalling (1999 County Scholar)
