Joel Higgs joined ScotiaMcLeod in 2005. He brings with him more than 10 years of experience in the investment services industry. In addition to his many years of practical knowledge, he has completed the Canadian Securities Course, the Professional Financial Planning Course, the Canadian
Investment Manager Course, and the Financial Management Advisor course, through the Canadian Securities Institute. He is also a Certified Financial Planner with the Financial Planners Standards Council of Canada and licensed life insurance agent.

Investment Philosophy and Process
Worthwhile goals take time and planning to reach. To bring my clients' long-term goals closer, I help them analyze their current financial situation and create a consolidated, cohesive financial strategy. Over time, I work with them to implement strategies to take care of their investment, income and asset protection, will and estate planning, banking, and borrowing needs. On a regular basis, I review the progress my clients are making towards their goals and make whatever adjustments are required to their overall plan.
