The Scotiabank Bright Future Program encourages you to: become more involved in your community, demonstrate your leadership in giving back time, effort and money, build relationships, provide opportunity and bring about change. We’re giving you the power to create brighter futures.
And to help you in your efforts we offer two very important community programs: The Team Scotia Community Program and The Scotia Employee Volunteer Program.
Team Scotia Community Program1
Scotiabank will match funds raised by two or more Scotiabank employees to assist qualifying community-based organizations up to a maximum of $5,000 CDN (or an equivalent amount in local currency) for each approved fund-raising initiative per year. Where the Bank has more than one team made up of individuals from different branches or business lines participating at the same event raising money for the same organization, there will be a ceiling of $15,000 CDN per event per year.
The Scotia Employee Volunteer Program (SEVP)1
Under the Scotia Employee Volunteer Program, the Bank will provide up to $1,000 CDN (or an equivalent amount in local currency) to assist qualifying organizations in which employees of Scotiabank have volunteered 50 hours of service during the past 12 months working as an unpaid officer, director, volunteer, fund-raiser or organizer.
