Building Better Communities - Together
Scotiabank employees are incredibly generous when it comes to supporting causes that benefit the communities we live and work in. Through two rewarding employee community programs, you'll have the opportunity to get to know your colleagues better while helping individuals worldwide.
Committed to building better communities together, we'll support your efforts with these two programs:
Team Scotia Community Program
The Team Scotia Community Program matches up to $5,000 in funds raised by teams of two or more employees. In 2006, more than 1,500 fundraising activities raised over $4.7 million through this program.
Scotiabank Employee Volunteer Program
The Bank donates up to $1,000 to qualifying community-based organizations in which individual employees or Scotiabank retirees have actively volunteered for at least 50 hours per year. Combining our two employee-based programs, our employees spend more than 300,000 hours volunteering and fundraising for local organizations.
Through donations, sponsorships and active employee involvement, we focus our contributions on education, health, social services, the arts/culture and community programs.
Through funding, we support non-profit and charitable organizations that empower people with skills, tools, and information.
Individually and in groups, in Canada and abroad, we are working together to make a difference for thousands of local organizations and international causes.
