Public Access to Information
Before visiting the Scotiabank Archives please be aware that not all records are open for public access. Researchers should consult a member of the Archives staff prior to their visit to identify whether the records they are interested in are accessible.

In some cases, the Archives contain some records of a sensitive, personal nature and confidential business records. In other cases, due to the poor physical condition of the records, a copy in a different format such as microfiche is available.

The material in the Archives falls under the restrictions of the Canadian Copyright Act. Therefore, permission is needed from the Archives in order to publish any material.

Learn more about documents, pictures and Scotiabank artifacts that have been collected over the years in honour of the people and places of Scotiabank history.
