Wendy Hannam is Executive Vice President, Personal Banking and Distribution, Canada. She is responsible for the growth of retail and small business banking in Canada through the branch network and self-service distribution channels.
Wendy joined Scotiabank in 1983 as a Commercial Account Manager. She has held progressively senior positions in Commercial Banking, Risk Management, Product Management, Sales Management, and Domestic Sales and Service. Prior to her current position, Wendy was Executive Vice-President, Domestic Branch Banking.
Wendy holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from Memorial University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Toronto (1983). She is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD.
Wendy serves on the Board of the Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments, and the Canadian Club, and chairs the Board of the Toronto Children's Chorus. She is also a member of the Board of Scotia Securities Inc. and of Dundee Bank of Canada.
Wendy and her husband have two children.
