Mr. Brenneman is President and Chief Executive Officer of Petro-Canada, an oil and gas company. His career in the oil and gas industry began in 1969, during which time he has held positions with Imperial Oil Limited, Exxon Corporation and Petro-Canada. He holds a B.Sc. (in chemical engineering) from the University of Toronto and a M.Sc. (in control systems) from the University of Manchester.
Mr. Brenneman sits on the boards of Petro-Canada, BCE Inc. and Syncrude Canada Ltd. and has been active in the Canadian Petroleum Association, the Canada Safety Council, the United Way of Calgary and of Toronto, and has helped raise funds for Mount Royal College and the new Alberta Children’s Hospital. Mr. Brenneman did not serve as a director of any other publicly-traded companies during the period from 2003 to 2007.
