Line of Credit Disability Protection
A sudden disability can make your line of credit payments a financial burden for both you and your family at a time when they can least afford it.
With Disability Protection, you can be sure that your regular payments on your line of credit are covered if you are disabled by a covered medical condition.
Line of Credit Disability Protection covers:
- Your monthly payments (after a 60 day waiting period from the day you were diagnosed) should you be unable to work as a result of an injury1 or covered impairment, and
- Provides a maximum monthly benefit amount of $3,000 plus your disability premium (including provincial sales tax) for any one of your insured lines of credit for up to a maximum of 24 months.
With Disability Protection, you are automatically approved for coverage up to $50,000, without a medical questionnaire or examination required, you only pay for the Disability Protection you need, and the coverage can help you maintain your credit rating.
Pay Only for the Protection You Need
The cost of Disability Protection is determined by your age and the monthly benefit amount on your account during the billing period. No premiums are charged if you have a zero balance on your account during the billing period. So you're paying only for the protection you need. And for your convenience, your Disability Protection premiums are billed directly to your insured line of credit account.
