Precious metals can be ordered through any Canadian branch of Scotiabank. Precious metals products can be used as a collector's item, as a gift or simply for the pleasure of owning them. Gold and silver certificates can also be held within a ScotiaMcLeod Direct Investing® Self-Directed RSP. Instructions for how to buy or sell precious metals:

1. Locate your nearest Scotiabank branch.
   
   
2. -Scotiabank clients require their Scotiabank Card and one (1) piece of I.D.
   
   - Non-Scotiabank clients require two (2) pieces of government-issued photo I.D. and their social insurance number (when selling material to Scotiabank)
   
   
3. Payment can be made by cash (up to CAD $3,000), VISA or bank draft/certified cheque (Please Note: all bank drafts/certified cheques will be verified with the issuing bank prior to releasing material).
   
   
4. Non-Scotiabank clients must present their original receipt of purchase when selling any precious metal product to Scotiabank.
