A Group Registered Savings Plan, commonly known as a Group RRSP, is simply a collection of individual RRSPs administered on a group basis.
If you are a participant, your plan is registered in your name, you decide how much you wish to contribute, and, with the assistance of a ScotiaMcLeod Investment Advisor, you choose how your portfolio is invested. The tax benefits of a Group RRSP are the same as those of a regular RRSP.
Our Group RRSPs give participants greater control over their retirement planning and savings than traditional company pension plans do. Contributions are conveniently made through regular payroll deduction, which means that tax savings are generated immediately and investments grow faster than they would with one annual lump-sum contribution.
With a ScotiaMcLeod Group RRSP, you also receive:
- A full-service plan, which gives every participant access to professional investment advice from a qualified Investment Advisor.
- Access to the widest possible choice of RRSP investment alternatives.
- Informative and educational seminars.
- An opportunity to consolidate all RRSP assets into one account
