Scotia VISA Balance Protection can make monthly payments+ to your Scotia VISA account to help you maintain a good credit rating if you are unable to work due to disability, job loss or strike. It can pay your outstanding balance++ in the event you become critically ill or pass away.

To be eligible to apply for coverage you must be between minimum 18 and 65 years of age on the date of application and a Canadian resident. If you are approved for coverage, you authorize Scotiabank to charge the monthly premium at a rate of 0.95 per $100. of your average daily outstanding balance (plus applicable taxes) to your Scotiabank account.
