As Group Head, International Banking, Dieter Jentsch oversees all of International Banking's personal, small business and commercial banking operations.

Dieter has been with Scotiabank since 1983, and has held a number of progressively more senior positions including Senior Vice President, Canadian Commercial Banking; Regional Senior Vice President, Domestic Branch Banking, Toronto Region; Managing Director & Head, Scotia Private Client Group, Wealth Management; and Executive Vice President, Commercial Banking, Canada, and Executive Vice President, Latin America. He was appointed Group Head of International Banking in November 2012.

Dieter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture, a Master of Business Administration degree, and a diploma from the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD (European Institute of Business). He is a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers. Dieter is also a member of the board of directors of the Jim Pattison Group.

He is married and has four sons.
