Business Services Holiday Bulletin

All Scotiabank branches will be closed on Monday, February 18, 2013 in observance of the provincial holiday, Family Day, in the following provinces: Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario, and Louis Riel day in the Province of Manitoba, however our servers will remain on-line as usual.

ScotiaConnect customers with accounts domiciled in provinces that observe the Provincial holiday will be able to initiate transfers between accounts; however the transfers will be processed on the following business day.

There will be no Electronic Daily Statement (EDS) files generated on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 for customers whose accounts are domiciled in the provinces and territories that observe the February 18th holiday (Monday), even if transactions are submitted on Monday February 18, 2013.

The EDS file will be generated on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 and will contain all transactions processed on Tuesday, February 19, 2013. Depending on your scheduled run time, EDS files will be available on Saturday, February 16, 2013 with information up to and including the previous business day, Friday, February 15, 2013 or on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 for transactions posted on Friday February 15, 2013 and Monday, February 18, 2013.

Files for accounts that are domiciled in a province that does not observe the holiday will be available on the regular schedule.

Helpdesk

The Customer Service and Support Contact Centre will be providing Holiday Service between the hours of 8:00 am and 6:00 pm ET, on Monday, February 18, 2013, however, if you have any questions, please contact the Customer Service and Support Contact Centre before then, at 1-800-265-5613, Monday to Friday
between 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, ET.

Wire Payments

Scotiabank branches will be closed on Monday, February 18, 2013 for Family Day in the provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario. Scotiabank branches will also be closed in the province of Manitoba for Louis Riel day. The ScotiaConnect Wire Payment Service will remain on-line as usual.

As this is a Provincial holiday observed in some provinces only, the national payment systems in Canada will be open and Scotiabank will be processing wire payments. Due to these regional Bank/branch closures across the country, Wire payments to/from branch bank accounts in provinces observing the February 18th holiday will be processed on the next business day (February 19 2013).

The New York Agency office is closed also on Monday, February 18, 2013 in observance of President's Day. All US dollar payments will be processed on the next business day.



Electronic Funds Transfer

Scotiabank branches will be closed on Monday, February 18, 2013 in the provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario, in observance of the Provincial holiday, Family Day, and Louis Riel day in the Province of Manitoba, however our servers will remain on-line as usual.

Transactions intended to be due within this holiday period must be input and processed prior to the 2:15 pm Eastern Time cut-off in accordance with the 'Latest Input Date' noted in the chart below.

The following schedule applies to BNS DDA accounts domiciled in the provinces that are closed on Monday, February 18, 2013 only.
