The Scotiabank Bright Future Program gives all Scotiabankers the ability to make a dramatic impact in the countries we serve. Promoting the improvement of society. Bringing happiness and health to communities. Uniting people for good causes. Ultimately, helping children grow and achieve. Our commitment to giving back to our communities helps us build
solid relationships with current and next generation customers.
Here are a few of the latest Scotiabank Bright Future stories:
Bahamas: Scotiabank helped to raise funds for the Ranfurly Home
‘Love that Child’ annual Raflle.
Organizers of the Ranfurly Home ‘Love that Child’ annual raffle wanted to stimulate their ticket sales, they decided to begin selling tickets in front of Scotiabank’s Bay Street Main branch. But little did they know how much they would actually stimulate. No one expected Scotiabank would sell enough tickets’ themselves in order to make a $5,000 donation to the Ranfurly Home. “The decision to again help the Ranfurly Home was easy because the home does a lot for the under-privileged and Scotiabank is focused on enhancing the lives of all children in the Bahamas, including the under-priviledged.”
Dominican Republic: For the second year in a row Scotiabank DR celebrated the "Back to School Program"
With the Back to School Program, 64 schools have been assisted thanks to the help provided by customers and employees from all Scotiabank branches and some departments, who during a month and a half (end of June-middle of August) collected new and used books and school supplies, with the purpose of contributing with the children’s education.
The results were surprising as all donors, united by the same cause,
offered their help to get school facilities ready, celebrate gatherings
with the children, sponsor schools and grant scholarships, all with
Scotiabank’s support.
This initiative provided assistance to the most underprivileged children, thus confirming that by giving to others, much more is received, as expressed by various employees after having shared this experience with the children of the sponsored schools.
