Raising Awareness and Funding
Now in its second successful year, the St. Maarten AIDS Foundation and Scotiabanks Stronger Together Campaign aims to raise funds for educational and awareness projects by Worlds AIDS Day on December 1st.
Red ribbon cards are available in the branches for a donation of US$1. Buyers can sign their name on the ribbon and affix it to a special wall in the branch as a show of their solidarity in the ongoing fight against HIV/AIDS.
To ensure the campaigns success, Scotiabank staff actively solicit support from government officials, businesses, students, customers and the media. In year one, the Stronger Together campaign exceeded financial targets by more than 30%, testimony to the interest and commitment of the community at large.
