Scotiabank St. Maarten is very active in the community. We are committed to contributing to projects ranging from health care and sports to education and culture. Scotiabank continues to be recognized as a major sponsor of the carnival, a grand celebration of culture, splendour and fun, which continues to grow and attract visitors from all around the world.
Scotiabank Bright Future Program
The Scotiabank Bright Future Program is a corporate giving program that helps support opportunities for the children and communities in which we live and work — building a brighter future for everyone.
Scotiabank Kiddy Cricket
Providing equipment to schools and giving children the opportunity to play cricket is just part of our commitment. We are a strong advocate of sports for the youth in our community.
Corporate Social Responsibility
At Scotiabank, we realize that we have a responsibility to assist a much broader spectrum of stakeholders, because the health and vitality of our Bank is closely tied to the well being of the communities we serve.
Little League Baseball Association
For many years, we have sponsored a Scotiabank Little League team. Annually, many of our players continue to further their potential by being selected to represent St. Maarten at the Little League Caribbean Championship. In 2006, our team excelled and won the Island Championship.
St. Maarten Nurses Association
In a combined effort to raise the profile of nurses and the medical profession on the island, we have donated to the Nurses Association to produce a video, which will be aired on the local television stations.
St. Maarten Aids Foundation – Stronger Together
We have contributed to and embarked on a special joint venture with the St. Maarten Aids Foundation to increase the awareness and raise funds. This initiative was launched in October, 2006 and is expected to culminate in December – Aids awareness month.
