Scotiabank Credit Card Terms and Conditions - CASH BACK

This promotion is open to legal residents of Anguilla, Dominica, St. Kitts and Nevis who are 18 years of age or older. Eligibility is restricted to Scotiabank (hereafter referred to as THE BANK) MasterCard and Scotiabank Gold MasterCard credit card customers (new and existing cardholders) whose accounts are open (not blocked, not frozen, not stolen, not lost, not blocked due to fraud, nor written-off), cannot be delinquent during the promotion period and cannot be delinquent 2 or more cycles in the past year. ScotiaLine products issued by THE BANK will not be eligible for participation in this promotion.

The cash back benefit (hereafter referred to as BENEFIT) is based on net purchases made at retail establishments identified in the MasterCard System by Merchant Category Code 7011 and 3000-3999 (Hotels and Lodging), 7012 (Timeshares), 7512 and 3000-3999 (Car Rental Companies), and 4511 and 3000-3999 (Airlines) and posted to the credit card account. The customer will need to complete the travel or make the purchase on the categories stated above within the Caribbean region. THE BANK does not determine whether merchants correctly identify and bill transactions as being made at the categories listed above. THE BANK reserves the right to determine which purchases qualify for the 5% cash back promotion as it appears above. Net purchases are understood as (purchases minus returns/credits); also, the calculation of the BENEFIT does not include cash advances, balance transfers, Credit Card Cheques, any fees and/or finance charges.

This promotion runs from October 1st to November 30th, 2009.

The maximum BENEFIT that can be earned by each customer during the promotion is US$300 or equivalent in local currency. The BENEFIT will be calculated at the end of the promotion and a single credit shall appear on the credit card account statement.

If the cardholder ceases to be a cardholder at any time during the promotion, the cardholder forfeits any BENEFIT earned through participation in this promotion.

In the case of a transaction that is reversed, the applicable BENEFIT amount on the transaction would be debited.

In all matters relating to the promotion, the decision of THE BANK shall be final and binding in all respects.

THE BANK reserves the rights to modify/change any or all of the terms and conditions applicable to the promotion without assigning any reasons or without any prior notification whatsoever. The BENEFIT acquired by the customer prior to the modification/change will not be affected.

These terms and conditions apply only to this promotion and do not apply to any other cash back promotions or programs that may be run by THE BANK solely or in conjunction with any other entity (or brand).
